Ms. Dowty has assisted with the design of power lines ranging in voltages from 12kV to 230kV. Her duties have included structure design, modeling and optimization using the PLS-CADD software, completing structure and assembly drawings, identifying hardware vendors and part numbers, compiling material lists, and assembling bid and construction packages. Kayla has also designed the distribution line systems for many northern Nevada mines and small utility systems. Kayla has been responsible for obtaining environmental permits and completing the field monitoring for various public utility projects. Most recently, she has begun transitioning into the role of project manager. Her latest projects have included large utility infrastructure improvements and fiber addition to existing lines. Her responsibilities include client communication, leading project meetings, project scheduling, and overall project coordination.
